Laguna Creek High School in Elk Grove, California has a very cool Green Energy Technology Academy. One of the projects that students build is a real product…and it's helping to bring electricity and light to people around the world. It involves use of serious power tools! Riley visited the class to find out more.

As a high school student, how often do you get the chance to design and do the architectural drawings for a 2 bedroom 1 bath home?…and then actually get to see it built?! We found one high school where teens did exactly that. Their house was built right on campus! AND it received the LEED Platinum Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council! Riley knocks on the door to get a tour.

Then we meet some teens who spend their Friday afternoons in the great outdoors…all in the name of science! They are part of the Monterey Bay Aquarium's WATCH program, Watsonville Area Teens Conserving Habitats. They are working alongside scientists on environmental research projects they designed! Riley catches up with one group studying crabs!
