Sea Otter Rescue
There's a lot to discover at the Monterey Bay Aquarium along the California Central Coast. It's one of the world's most renowned marine facilities. But most visitors aware of the research and rescue programs that happen behind the scenes. SORAC is just that. It's the Sea Otter Research and Conservation program in which marine scientists rescue injured, stranded or orphaned southern sea otters and rehabilitate them in order to release them back into the wild. Some of the aquarium's otter residents play a big role. They act as surrogate mothers to rescued otter pups. Jalena got to go behind the scenes to find out more.
