Eco Company Teens

Eco Company's teen hosts report on environmental stories from their own perspective!  Every week they explores all aspects of being green and  understanding how we impact our world.  From checking out the latest technologies in renewable and alternative energy, recycling and conservation, What's affecting our environment and what we can do about it, to sharing the inspirational stories of young people making a  difference, Eco Company is on it!   Eco Company has been a favorite of teens and adults since 2009.  Produced by Red  Willow Films.

Majestic Redwoods

Redwood trees go back to when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Some of them live more than 3,000 years! Some of them grow to more than 25  stories tall! Is climate change affecting them too? Jalena talks to  biodiversity scientist Dr. Healy Hamilton to see what the future holds.

Restoring a Redwood Grove

Meet some guys who are up bright and early on a Saturday to  go to work!  They’re helping restore an  overgrown grove of redwood trees. Brendan and Jordan grab some gloves to  lend a hand and to find out why they are passionate about preserving  these majestic Giants.

Algalita

Adam pays a visit to the Algalita Marine Research Foundation where  scientists conduct research about plastic in the Earth's oceans. Sailing  on a 50 foot catamaran, the researchers travel around the globe to trawl for plastic in the 5 major gyres where plastic debris gathers. What they find will shock you.

Organic Cotton

It may look clean, but cotton has a big footprint in the world.  Cotton  growers use 11 percent of the world's pesticides and it takes more than  700 gallons of water to grow enough cotton to make just one T-shirt. But  some farmers are doing things differently.  Jordan heads out to the  fields to find out how.
