Household toxins...paints, aerosols, pesticides, insecticides, household cleaners, batteries, CFLs...many with dangerous carcinogens. How do we get rid of them so they don't get into the environment and into our water supplies. Adam visits a hazardous waste facility to get answers.
Brendan meets up with a group of young eco warriors tackling coastal wetlands. They are learning how they can make a difference by restoring a coastal area for native plants and wildlife. Brendan puts on the gloves to give them a hand.
There is obviously a lot of trash that doesn't have a second use...or does it? Brendan went to a landfill where the trash goes 200 feet deep. Trash piles produce methane gas and this place is putting it to good use.
Eco Company visits the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. Jessica explores the rain forest dome and finds out why rain forests are so important to the delicate balance of our world-wide eco system.
